Anyone Could Be Your Brand New Love

Two things. First, the Bon Iver album is stunningly beautiful from beginning to end. All of it.

Second, I think that Eels cover (that I wrote about awhile ago), is what made me swing toward that song as the best.

Now I have to go listen to that Vampire Weekend album since I've seen your endorsement.
That Bon Iver song is good good stuff. So is the Vampire Weekend. The difference is I'll probably still want to listen to Bon Iver in 2011.

That Eels cover is tremendous - as is the song - but there is no way it's better than 'Little Red Corvette'.
"Never Take The Place of Your Man" is a great song but "Little Red Corvette" is definitely at the top of the Prince canon.
So much wrongness here. LRC is a great song. But ICNTPYM is better. I see this debate breaking along gender lines.

Jodi: Shoulda known you were on to the Eels cover and Bon Iver posts and posts ago...
[this is good]
Vampire Weekend was surprisingly good live. They managed to completely sell out a weekday show without a full album’s worth of songs, much less an album in San Francisco a few months ago.
Didn't we already settle the LRC issue? Its not only the best Prince song ever, its one of the three best pop songs of all time. People are over-thinking this.
